Z's

It is 12:09 am... do you know where "your" snoring dog is?

Mine is on the other end of the couch dreaming away and sawing lots of logs!

Today was a good day. I took a 15 minute break for "me" and left work to take a walk to the end of the road and back. Boy, did I suck in air on that one. Hate being this out of shape. Another good thing today is that instead of getting pop from the drink machine, I chose a bottle of water and then refilled it later in the day..w00t! Work treated everyone to a salad at lunch - lots of different choices of lettuce, veggies and fruit.

Here is another good thing for me... I am going to bed earlier tonight. That is something that I have been missing - sleep.

Nitey Nite!

Spring is...

Finally here - YES !!!

Now if only the temperature would be a bit higher to melt away the mounds of snow.

I would be happier then :0)

night owl

I have discovered Twitter recently. It is really cool how you can communicate with the world these days. All evening I have been refreshing my twitter page to see who is tweeting. It was Ellen Degenerous that appeared on Leno that mentioned that she tweets and to join.. so I did...

Blog blog blog...

I am getting sleepy and should really get to sleep...all week I have been up later then I should and have noticed a few yawns here and there while at work. Gotta change that for sure. I AM a night owl....

pondering where that phrase came from..... pausing to google .......

Here is what I found from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia :
Night owl is a term used to describe a person who tends to stay up until late at night.

Owls, like this one in Poland, are often nocturnal.
The term is derived from the primarily
nocturnal habits of the owl. Usually, people who are night owls keep awake past midnight and extreme night owls may stay awake until 5:00 AM or later.

I guess that would make me a night owl for sure but not an extreme one. :0)

A couple of weeks ago we had a freezing rain storm and ice built up on an apple tree in our front yard. Using the Canon 30D with the 100x400 mm lens I decided to take some pics through our front window. This is one of the shots I got. I am told that the bird is called a Hoary Redpoll .

This photo was shown at our local photoclub and had good reviews... and one nice comment by a member that is a birder as well.

Guess it is that time to finally go to bed..... 2AM :0)

Nite nite !
